About Us

Locally-owned Windmill Ranch, specializing in Charolais cattle, is a working cattle ranch with a lodge that can be rented for small events and a B&B. Owners Conway and Marlene Waak, both retired (Conway as a petroleum engineer and Marlene as a teacher) are still very busy in this rural, conservative area of Texas, upholding the traditions of the multi-generational cattle production on the Windmill Ranch, located halfway between Austin and Houston. The newest project on the ranch is the Windmill Ranch Lodge, which is available to provide customers with an easily accessible quality meeting place or a relaxing B&B while antiquing all around Round Top, Texas.
